Come and experience what it would be like to make your own garment using a horizontal loom, similar to those used in prehistoric times. Not only will you get to experience weaving with a wooden needle, but you will also learn about the fabrics and materials used during that era.
Want to discover one of humanity's greatest inventions? At the PAAR, we invite you to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of prehistoric ceramics, an innovation that changed the course of history and the daily lives of the first farming and livestock communities.
In this workshop, you will not only learn about the importance of pottery in prehistory, but you will also get your hands in the clay. You will replicate the stages of creating and crafting a piece using techniques from the Bronze Age.
Best of all, you can take your piece home as a souvenir of this unique experience. Enjoy developing your creativity and manual skills while creating your own work of art inspired by the past.
Immerse yourself in prehistory with this theoretical-practical hunting workshop. For one hour, you will learn the techniques used by our ancestors to hunt, using the bow and arrow, spear-thrower, and assegai.
Guided by expert instructors, you will practice using these hunting tools and discover the skills that early humans developed to survive. This is a unique experience to connect with history and ancestral techniques in a fun and educational way.
"The Treasure of the Moura" was discovered nearly 100 years ago when a famous archaeologist was exploring the forests of O Campo Lameiro in search of petroglyphs. Do you want to hear the legend of the Moura? Will you help us recover her treasure? Follow the clues, pass the tests, and return the objects to their display case.

The Archaeological Park of Rock Art (PAAR), the largest center in Galicia for understanding enigmatic petroglyphs, joins the celebration of European Archaeology Days (JEA), which will take place on June 13, 14, and 15, 2025. This is a unique opportunity for people of all ages to learn about history and archaeological research.
European Archaeology Days is an event promoted by the French Ministry of Culture, joined by member countries of the Council of Europe, and coordinated by the French National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (Inrap). This event mobilizes over 5,000 activities in 30 countries. Its main objective is to raise citizens’ awareness of the richness and diversity of European archaeological heritage, as well as the need to protect it. In Galicia, PAAR has been one of the main participants in these events since their inception.
The Archaeological Park of Rock Art offers a varied program during these three days, designed to immerse visitors in prehistory and the fascinating world of petroglyphs and archaeology. All activities have limited spots.
