In this workshop, students will understand the importance of graphic, plastic, and visual language as a means of expression in Prehistory. They will explore various archaeological replicas and ultimately experience firsthand the diverse creative processes of Prehistory by finger painting on a paper mural.

Learning Objectives:

  • Acquire knowledge about the creation of pigments in Prehistory.

  • Learn about the basic tools used to create paintings in Prehistoric times.

  • Produce, design, and compose, either individually or as a group, the stages of creating and executing a mural decoration.

  • Strengthen creativity and manual dexterity.

The Deer Scavenger Hunt

By following a series of questions and clues, they will explore the Archaeological Area, visiting different zones. These appear in different spaces and on various surfaces: caves, rock shelters, open-air rocks, and objects. In this exhibition, we will take a brief look at the most prominent styles and artistic representations of Prehistory. We will also demonstrate how pigments were created and reproduce some of the techniques used.

A walk with Landra.

An interactive tour where Landra, a girl from the Bronze Age, will show us what life was like in Prehistory and how petroglyphs were made. Guided by her, using archaeological replicas, reproductions of rock carvings, we will discover in detail what life was like 4,000 years ago through a short symbolic game.
