This workshop begins at the CIDAR, where we will visit the replica of a cist and the grave goods from the Chousa Nova burial mound (Silleda). Through these, we will learn more about ancient funerary contexts. Afterwards, students will put their acquired knowledge to the test by completing activity sheets and will create a "prehistoric" necklace inspired by the one found at Chousa Nova.
Learning Objectives:
-
Reflect on the importance of the funerary sphere in prehistoric human communities.
-
Understand the ways of life during the Bronze Age through a visit to the exhibition area.
-
Learn about trade concepts based on the exchange of materials in Prehistory.
