Archaeological area

At the PAAR (Field Archeological Park), you can discover some of the most beautiful and significant petroglyphs in Galicia, such as the Laxe dos Carballos or the Outeiro dos Cogoludos. The nearly 22 hectares of the Park constitute an exceptional archaeological reserve, where the landscape's past appearance has been restored thanks to respectful environmental work.

An itinerary over 3 kilometers long, dotted with rest areas and fountains, traverses an extraordinary cultural landscape characterized by a high density of petroglyphs. Along this path, it is possible to contemplate the primary motifs and scenes depicted in Galician rock carvings.

To make viewing easier, wooden platforms have been installed to protect the rocks while providing superior vantage points. Near the Visitor Center, playful and educational elements—such as petroglyph reproductions and a steel labyrinth—invite interaction and discovery.
